Simplified quick apple pie

Simplified quick apple pie

You probably know that we just love easy recipes! We really like cooking and spending hours in the kitchen, but also for us it is nice to have easy and quick recipes sometimes! This recipe is the perfect last-minute baking recipe. It is done within 20 minutes (mostly just waiting when it is in the oven), and it is also healthy! What do you want more? Besides, you can eat this one on your own and you don’t have to worry about leftovers (although, leftovers aren’t that bad with these kinds of baking recipes…) Enjoy!

This pie is 2 portions

Ingredients bottom:

  • 50 g whole wheat flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 10 g of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of water

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 tbsp of raisins
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of cornstarch

Instructions:

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. For the filling, add the flour, salt and cinnamon in a bowl and whisk it together. Add the oil, honey and a tiny dash of water and add it to the flour mixture. Mix everything together and if the mixture is not sticky, add a bit more water. Grease the cake tin with oil (or butter). Put the mixture in the cake tin, divide it equally and press it to the sides. Put this into the oven for 10 minutes. In the meantime, clean the apple and cut it in small pieces (you can leave the peel). Put the apple in a bowl and add the other ingredient for the filling. Mix it together with a spoon. When the bottom is ready, take it out the oven and add the filling. Put it back in the oven for about 7 minutes. Let it cool down a bit before serving. Enjoy!

Optional: you can also make this pie with pear, or with berries!
