Quick breakfast cake
Cake for breakfast? Are you serious? YES! It is possible, and it can even be healthy. We call this the best of both worlds. And no, you don’t have to wake up early to make this delicious breakfast, because within 10 minutes you will have it on your plate! How wonderful does that sound? We think that with this breakfast, you start your day in a good mood. It is such a treat for yourself that will push you right away in a positive and happy vibe. If you like this recipe so much, then it is even easy to variate with different ingredients. Always use the oats, banana, milk and baking powder as the standard ingredients. If you are a chocolate lover, then try to add a bit of cocoa powder and some dark chocolate chips… Yummie!!!
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp of oats
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp of milk
- 2 tbsp of blueberries (I used the frozen ones)
- Optional: 1 tbsp of raisins
First, mash the banana in a big mug or in a bowl. Add the egg and whisk it together. Then add the other ingredients and mix everything until it is well blended. Put this in the microwave for about 2.5 minutes. If it is still a bit moist, then put it for another 30 seconds. That’s it! Now you can eat it from the mug or bowl, or you can put it on a plate and decorate it nicely. Enjoy!
Options: As mentioned in the description, variation is endless with this recipe! We love to eat this cake with some quark on top.
