Healthy Apple Pie Bars

Now that some of you started to go to school or work again, we thought to share this delicious and convenient recipe with you. These healthy apple pie bars are done before you know it and so easy to take with you on your working or school day. You make one batch and you will have a treat for yourself every day, even one in the weekend! Do you want to surprise your partner or children with this deliciousness? What are you waiting for…


  • 100 g of oats
  • 2 apples
  • 1 egg
  • A hand of raisins
  • 2 tbsp of sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt


Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. First, clean and then grate the apples. Save them in a bowl. Add this all the other ingredients and mix it well with a spoon or a spatula. Put the mixture in a small greased oven tray and put it in the oven for about 45 minutes. Let them cool down a bit before serving and store them in the fridge. You can save them up for around 5 days (but they will be finished before this ;)) Enjoy! 

  • Optional:
    Add pear instead of apple, or do a mixture!
    Add apple syrup instead of honey
    Add cashew nuts instead of sunflower seeds

  • Nutritional value  per piece (when cutting in 6 pieces):
    155.3 calories – 3.5 g fat of which 0.6 g saturated – 28.9 g carbohydrates, of which 3.7 g fibre and 14.2 g sugar – 4.1 g protein
